It wasn’t until my late 20s that I started to think that there was nothing wrong with looking feminine. I used to think wearing sexy clothes and wearing carefully applied makeup and doin’ the hair was a ruse–an effort to look and act like someone you weren’t inside. But the truth is, everything we do alter’s our appearance and people’s perception of who we are and what’s important to us. Otherwise we’d have a worldwide nudist colony, and let’s face it, nobody wants that.

As these ideas have percolated through the years, I’ve come up with a sensible and fashion-forward solution to how to look good on the trail without looking like you’re trying.

In other words, a how-to guide to looking good on the mountain bike trail. Accessorize, ladies, accessorize.
